About Wima Fest

Celebrating the vibrant culture, humor, and traditions of the Kikuyu community through music, comedy, and unforgettable experiences.

Our Story

From Humble Beginnings to Cultural Phenomenon

Wima Fest is a Kikuyu comedy festival that brings together comedy lovers for an unforgettable day-and-night experience. The word “Wima” means “we stand tall” — a celebration of pride, culture, and resilience.

Founded by Humphrey Ngoni Thuita and Dennis Gathaiya Gioche, co-hosts of a popular Kikuyu drive-time show on Kameme FM, Wima Fest was born out of a desire to give their loyal radio audience a chance to connect face-to-face.

The festival offers a space to laugh, learn, and interact through the stories and humor shared by the dynamic duo.
